Daddy Beats Twink: What 95,000 Gay Video Chats Actually Reveal
We analyzed 95,746 anonymous matches across 49,503 active users on our free gay video chat platform — a single recent 7-day snapshot. The results push back on a lot of what mainstream gay culture assumes about what men actually want.
Finding 1: "Daddy" out-ranks "twink"
Users can tag themselves with the type of connection they're after. Across the whole platform, "daddy" was the #2 most-selected tag — ahead of "twink". The only tag more popular was the blunt, activity-based "cum".
That's notable because mainstream gay media and advertising still skews heavily twink-centric. In actual behavior — on an anonymous platform where nobody's performing for an audience — the daddy/older-masculine archetype wins.
Finding 2: Gen Z shows up, but matches across a 10-year gap
Two-thirds of users (65%) are 18–24. Yet the average age gap between two matched men is 10 years (median: 7). So while the platform skews young, young men are not just matching with each other — they're consistently connecting across generations.
Put together with Finding 1, a picture emerges: a young user base that actively seeks older, "daddy"-coded partners. The age-gap attraction that gay culture often jokes about shows up clearly in the behavioral data.
Finding 3: The global peak is 9 PM UTC
Match activity runs 24/7 (this is a global, anonymous platform) but it's not flat. Activity climbs through the evening and peaks at 20:00–21:00 UTC — early evening in Europe, afternoon-into-evening on the US East Coast. There's also a stubborn secondary bump in the small hours (00:00–05:00 UTC), the classic late-night/after-party window.
Finding 4: The two-minute rule
The average match lasts 129 seconds — just over two minutes. But the distribution tells the real story: most connections that get past the first few seconds settle into the 1–3 minute range, and a committed tail runs well beyond ten minutes.
Finding 5: Where gay video chat happens
The United States accounts for roughly 40% of users, but the platform is deeply global — the top 15 countries span four continents, with strong representation from the UK, India, Italy, Canada, Germany and France.

This report is based on anonymized, aggregate data from 49,503 active Jerkloop users and 95,746 recorded matches captured in a single recent 7-day snapshot. Figures cover users who opted to save an anonymous profile code; kink-tag shares are computed over all tag selections (users may select multiple). Age bands are self-reported. Match hours are recorded in UTC. Age-gap figures are computed on matches where both partners' ages are known.
No personally identifiable information was used or stored in producing this report. Jerkloop is a free, no-signup, peer-to-peer gay video chat platform; video and audio are never recorded. Aggregate figures only.
